CANB - Fredericton Northwest Construction Association would like to congratulate Lin Hupman on receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. During Lin’s 35 plus years as a member of the Construction Association he wore many hats. He was a valued member on many committees throughout the Province. Lin is also Past President of the Construction Association of New Brunswick and the Fredericton Northwest Construction Association.
The Gold Seal Program was always a great source of pride for Lin as he took part in the development and implementation of the program in New Brunswick.

"The Canadian Construction Association is extremely pleased to see individuals in the construction industry honoured for their outstanding achievements in their community, province and, most importantly, Canada and the Canadian Construction Industry. These medals recognize a historic event in Canadian history, as they mark the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne. Only one other time —Queen Victoria in 1897—has this milestone been celebrated. In total. 60,000 Canadians from all walks of life will be recognized with a Diamond Jubliee Medal of their own, and the Canadian Construction Association was proud to accept 38 medals to distribute, with its partners, to distinguish outstanding individuals in our industry. Your achievements have helped to build the Canada of today, and we would once again like to thank you for those contributions that have helped to build Canada, and Canada’s future."
Once again, on behalf of CANB - Fredericton Northwest Construction Association and the Canadian Construction Association and more than 17,000 member firms across Canada, congratulations to Lin for this monumental recognition in our country’s history.

Bill is the Past President of King Construction Ltd and Masontech Inc. Bill operated King Construction for over 35 years and transferred it to new ownership. We are making some new and exiting changes to our look. If you haven’t noticed we have been using our new logo over the past few months.

The Fredericton Northwest Construction Association has encountered a few problems over the past few months with our Wide Format Copier. Our previous copier couldn’t print drawings with the newer versions of programs being used today to generate drawings. We would like to let our members know that we have purchased a new Copier. The Oce TDS450. This will alleviate the problems that we had with printing The TDS450 is equipped with a Color Scanner, which some may find useful with "as built" drawings. Oce’s patented direct scan color technology, illuminating the original for accurate colors over long periods of time eliminating risks of distortion and ensuring color consistency and sharpness. The machine has the capability of taking an 81/2 x 11 drawing and copying any size you want. We encourage our members to take advantage of the many services available with the new copier.
